Work Study Program

San Diego Dance Theater’s Work Study program provides scholarships to dancers who are interested in furthering their dance training for professional or personal aspirations. Our work study students assist teachers during weekly classes in exchange for free classes, discounted rentals, and professional support in dance administration, teaching/choreography, operations, or technical support. Our mission is to provide a place for dancers to grow and develop in the field of dance, and support their career endeavors in meaningful ways. Commitment

  • August 2026 to June 2027

  • Assist with 2 SDDT School classes per week

    • During class shifts, you will Open and close the studio, Check in students, Process payments, and assist with registration, Sweep/mop floors, Clean mirrors, Remove trash, Tidy and rearrange the space.

  • Volunteer at 2 SDDT events per year

    • Event volunteering may include: Set-up and break-down, Box office, Bar, or ushering support, Stage crew assistance, Audience check-in and Tour guiding for public events.
