San Diego Dance Theater will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary Season in 2012. To say we're excited is an understatement; we're proud, we're jubilant, and if I could still do barrel turns, I'd do 40 of them.
You may remember there was only one other professional dance company in San Diego when we opened our doors in 1972. Since then, we've not only survived, we've thrived. Now we have a creative home at Dance Place San Diego in Liberty Station, and though we've received lots of awards over the years, we are especially proud of our 2011 National Endowment for the Arts grant for Trolley Dances.
It would be impossible to have made it this far without the generous support of people like you. As a longtime friend, enthusiast, and sponsor, I would like to ask for a very special, very specific gift in our 40th year.
Won’t you be a gem and give to San Diego Dance Theater’s 40x40 Anniversary Campaign? The goal of this campaign is to raise $40,000 by December 31, 2011 to launch of our 40th Anniversary Season. To do so, we are asking 40 of our most steadfast supporters to each contribute $1,000. It is a significant gift, but I guarantee that we'll stretch every dollar of it. Of course, these gifts are fully tax-deductible contributions. You'll also be recognized as a Ruby Red Season Underwriter at our New Year's Eve 40th Birthday Party and in all 2012 season programs.
Many, many thanks for considering this request. I sincerely look forward to celebrating our 40th Anniversary Season with you.
Very Truly Yours,
Jean Isaacs (Artistic Executive Director) and George Willis (Board President)
Donate $1000 to become a 40 x 40 Red Ruby.
